AcralMed Stand Alone Leg Prepper | OTA154 (also known as MCM154) is a leg prep stand that supports a patient’s leg during skin prep without attaching to the table. Most leg preppers mount to the table rail, which limits positioning. This one works beside the table or away from it. It also works on stretchers and gurneys, which have no rail.
Meanwhile, the base can slide under the OR table, and the upper portion swivels 360 degrees to reach the right position. A thumb knob adjusts the height. As a result, you can place the stand beside the table, off the end, or wherever you need it. Furthermore, staff can remove it easily after they prep the leg.
